  1. BREAKING NEWS: james webb solar deploymemt test costs more than replacing all of the pannels with higher effenciency technology , that doesnt need to be deployed (unfolded) for the same amount of energy.

  2. When the James Web Orbits the dark side of earth all the time to cool down how will the Solar pannel produce sufficient engergy.

  3. How does propulsion work from solar energy? Also, the telescope will have Earth between it and the sun. Would there be enough sunlight to power it? Or is it collecting light from other sources as well?
Keep up the great work. We're all rooting for your success! 😀

  4. How can you be sure that a test like this, using a crane to simulate weightlessness, is a good verification of the structures performance? Do you base this on experience or is this just the best you figure you can test it? I'm interested in how you test your tests, basically.

  5. if it ever launches. if it doesn't break NASA's budget (right there with SLS) trying to get it to do so. better work, folks.

  6. When people complain that JWST is taking so long, and so far over budget, they don't realize that this is the largest space telescope ever built, and that it has to fold up like an origami crane in order to fit inside the faring.
It's almost done. Just be patient and let them do their thing. They've only got one chance to get this right, because there will be no servicing missions. If Hubble's scientific legacy is any indication, the price and the wait time will be WELL worth it.

  7. The most finely tuned, sensitive, and technologically advanced telescope (so far..!), an incredible scientific achievement, and quite beautiful! I love these updates, and the testing n proving process; I totally understand it all has to be perfect and just right, cos you can only launch/deploy it once!!😂

……but please hurry up n launch the bloody thing!! 👍🚀🛰️

  8. This video is online since over a week and no comments? While cat videos still get lots of feedback? YouTube has become a strange place. I feel compelled to say something important. Let me see…
I want to say that apart from politics (…strange place also) or funding, apart from algorithms that decide what we get to see, apart from delays or other obstacles this is the most important thing the human species does. Pushing the boundaries of the known. It sets us apart from the rest of life here on earth. This is one of the few things that make me proud to be a human. Being able to pull off projects like Hubble, taking close up pictures of Pluto or build the Large Hadron Collider. Not because there is a lot of profit in it, but because we just want to know our place in the cosmos and how the heck this Universe works.
To see this thing in place, working, is on my bucket list. Ranked high. Fingers crossed and thank you to everyone investing his lifetime for this.

  9. I have questions about dark energy

Dark energy is the opposite gravity that constantly expands the universe
There is news that the universe is expanding by 9 percent
Means that the size of the universe is expanding more than in the past
The question is about increasing cosmic expansion every time
Is it true that the expansion rate is increasing?
The second question is about increasing the proportion of expansion
What is the reason for this increase in expansion?
The third question about the past and beginning of the universe
Has expansion been slower in the past?
The fourth question is about the mystery of the Big Bang that created the universe
If the expansion of the universe is slower in the past
How did the Big Bang happen?
The expansion of the past has been less and less so how was the Big Bang?
How did the Big Bang happen?
Increasing the power of dark energy gives a new interpretation to the birth of the universe
