Japanese “OIRAN” MAKEUP TUTORIAL by kawaii fashion model Marin Matsuzaki

I wanted to make it really impressive. Use chopsticks or some wooden sticks. Hello, I am Marin Matsuzaki. Today, I am wearing traditional Japanese clothes, in the stye that an Oiran (Japanese courtesan) would wear. I will be creating a matching colourful make up style for it. Check it out. For the foundation I use a skin tone that is slightly paler than my own skin tone. I use a lot of powder at the end, padding in on very generously. That is actually really important for this style. Using that much amount of powder will make you look pale and white. Since your neck will be visible, add some here as well. I always use an eye shadow primer as base. I will use that first so the color of my eye shadow will really stand out. It’s an important item of my daily makeup. This is also another type of eyeshadow primer. It comes as a purple eyeshadow primer. We will be using reds and purples, so this purple primer will bring the colours out well. I used it under my eyes and in the middle of my lid. Using a strong and vibrant purple on top, you will get a great purple result. When doing colourful makeup styles, if you use colors that are too pale, it will look like the original color just wore off. So use a strong and vibrant color instead. If you add some browns to it, it will look more natural. I use a reddish brown and create a gradation from there. I follow the shape of my eyes and extend the line to create a straight wing. I wanted to use another product from MAC. I chose a lipstick from them and drew it on. I first created a slim triangle and blended it. When opening your eyes like this, it should look really good. Try it out. I wanted to create eyes that droop down at the outer corners, I therefore chose lashes that are longer at the end. Instead of using normal black lashes. I chose lashes that are colored at the end This time I am using reds and purples, so having some coloured lashes at the end will look cute. I can recommend that strategy. I contour my eyebrows and shade the area near my nose. After finishing the eyebrows, I can recommend you use the brownish red again If you add it on top, it will also get a red tint and it will go well with the overall makeup. Next is the blush. This makeup style uses a lot of red. That is why I chose pink instead of orange, which would have been cute too. But since I used red and purple, it will give it a better overall finishing result. If you add it in circles under your eyes, you will get a warmer look. I draw them a little in a line to the side. Now for the lips. Firstly, you will have to use some foundation or concealer to hide a way the natural color of your lips. Then, when using a lipstick, the color will show off really strongly. When doing a traditional Japanese makeup inspired style, I would advise you to use a brush to create a clear lines. The reason why I chose these coloured contact lenses is … if you choose color contacts in brown and gray that are too vibrant they will clash with the red and purple That is why this time, I chose colored contacts that only contain a hint of gray. I wanted to make my hairstyle really impressive. But you might have seen me at the start and realised that my hair is quite short. That’s why I just did a pompadour hair style. You just put it up, twist it round and fix it in place. With that wave here, it looks already somewhat Japanese. And flowers! Add a lot of flowers. It gives it a nice Japanese touch. And personally I like hair decorations like these. They really go with the Oiran style and look really cute. Just use chopsticks or some wooden sticks. In Japan girls often wear a summer kimono (yukata) and go to summer festivals. If you wear normal makeup with a yukata it will look really cute But if you choose a colourful makeup you will really leave create an impact. I do all kinds of interesting makeup style videos. Be sure to check them out. First mix these colors! You should apply so much that you can get mistaken for a leopard. I got some lipstick on my teeth! Nevermind. It’s kind of embarrassing though. Next… Oh I did it again! If you apply too much lipstick it will easily get on your teeth. Be careful about that. If you get it too much on the inside of your lips it easily wears off. Ops I did it again. I actually thought about bringing a wig. My family owns a hair salon, you see. Oh, you mentioned that before. It is a really expensive wig. If I messed it up I could never pay it back. Please try it out. Do they have chopsticks abroad? Use chopsticks! Ah right, the lashes were important! They are quite unique lashes. -It falls off. -It does. I will just put my shoulders up to keep it i place. That looks kind of awkward. Oh it sticks! It sticks now! The mood in the room just changed.
